Elias Crespin

at the Louvre museum

Artist Elias Crespin has been invited by the Louvre to conceive a permanent sculpture at the top of the Escalier du Midi. Guided by an algorithmic specific program, L’Onde du midi is made of 128 aluminium tubes in movement evolving through an aleatory ondulation, producing a poetic choreography, going from chaos to order. First artist of the Computing art to be ever collected by the Louvre, Elias Crespin joins there prestigious figures of contemporary art such as Anselm Kiefer, François Morellet or Cy Twombly.
